We are a small hobby farm located in South Carolina's beautiful Lowcountry. We have a herd of approximately 30 ADGA registered Nigerian Dwarf goats. To keep them safe, a pack of livestock guardian dogs patrol their pens and barns. A farm is not a farm without a chicken, so we dabble into the world of poultry, as well.

Our Nigerian Dwarf love began in 2011. Over the years, our goals and plans have evolved and shaped our herd into what it is today. Ultimately, it is simple- we want correct, productive dairy goats. We want to see high, well attached mammary systems under beautifully dairy, but strong, does. Breeding is an art, and a tough one to master. We continue to learn, season after season. We participate in linear appraisal and show, when possible. Each year brings more consistency, and we look forward to the future of our goat herd.

Crosby Lake Farm added a livestock guardian dog the same year we chose to become goat owners. It all started with Chevy, an Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees cross. Oh, the things that dog taught us. There is not enough time to tell all of the stories. He has since passed away, but his legacy lives on. Two of our six LGDs are his great grandchildren. We sleep well at night knowing the goats are being watched 24/7 and could not imagine farming without them.

Like we said before, every farm needs a chicken. We happen to have an impressive assortment, or at least we like to think so. We absolutely adore our Silverudd's Blues and intend to focus more on them in the future. Black and Blue Copper Marans, Olive Eggers, Welsummers, and Cream Legbars round out our flock to give us an exciting egg basket.

Our South Carolina slice of heaven provides us with a lifestyle we are proud to have. Take a look around. Let us know if you have any questions!
