LGD Sales Information

Puppies are $450 each or $700 for two. They will be born and raised in the goat barn and exposed to goats and poultry as well as children, pet dogs, gun fire, tractors, cats, and more. We only sell in pairs unless you already have LGDs at home. The long term success of the puppies depends on having a buddy to mature with and burn off energy with. The likelihood of problems is much higher in a single puppy home, so we have decided for the good of everyone involved to not allow single puppies to go to homes without other working dogs. This does not apply to indoor pet homes. 

 

We start a waiting list once we notice signs of breeding or pregnancy, and no money is required to have your name down. Deposits will be accepted once puppies arrive and are deemed healthy. Picking order will be determined by the waiting list as long as deposits are received within 48 hours of request.

 

The deposit to hold your spot is $100 (per puppy) and is nonrefundable/nontransferable but will be taken off of the total cost. We try not to allow buyers to pick from birth as we like to get a feel for individual personalities and match puppies with the right home. This sometimes causes misunderstandings when buyers pick puppies. For example, if there are 3 boys and one is appearing to need to be in a pet home, we will NOT allow a person looking for a working dog to purchase him, even if the buyer was first on the waiting list. The buyer will have to pick from the ones who we determine will meet his or her needs. This method is the best way to ensure puppies are placed in an environment most suited to their needs. We reserve the right to deny any sale to buyers who do not approve of our way of picking homes.

 

We do not allow visitors. Pictures will be posted regularly, as well as videos.

 

Puppy pickup will be in Walterboro, SC. We will meet closer within reason and if time allows; fees will vary depending on location. When puppies are born and before accepting deposits, we will provide a weeklong window for pickup. Please be sure you will be available during that week for pickup.
